Lion Wins 'Best Temporary Roadway/ Walkway'
LION Trackhire were last night voted 'Best Temporary Roadway/Walkway' in the inaugural Festival Supplier Awards.
The accolade was awarded for innovative use of our product which we are renowned for. The entry included a case study of our Reading Festival project which included bridge strengthening, security fire towers and sound absorption walls. LION's founders, the pioneers of temporary access designed the very first track panel, the first outdoor concert fence and went on to design the perimeter fence for Glastonbury Festival which is still used today.
This is LION's third award in a 12 month period and recognises the hard work and skill that our engineers pride themselves on. LION's recent investment positions LION as the largest aluminium roadway stockholder in the world which will support our festival customers with more flexibility over 2015's busy summer period.
The awards were held at this year's Showman's Show where we were exhibiting our market-leading temporary roadway system LIONtrack, which is also shortlisted in the forthcoming Event Technology Awards. The winners are announced in November at London's Troxy theatre. Watch this space.
