Edinburgh's Hogmanay goes LIVE
Live, Europe’s largest temporary access company completed a new project for event specialists Underbelly, providing temporary fencing and barrier solutions for the Hogmanay celebrations around Edinburgh.
The one-month project utilised over 5500 barrier products across 5 locations around the city which protected the public and enable the proceedings to operate safely.
Annually, Live deploy and recover circa 2 million barriers, as well as providing high-security perimeter systems such as their 8km Super-Fortress fence which is an essential security component for the operating license and public protection at Glastonbury Festival.
Live’s access control division began in the late 1960s at the height of ‘Beatlemania’ and today they have an unrivalled level of expertise and an enviable product portfolio in perimeter security, crowd control and counter-terrorism solutions.
For over four decades, Live has held a contract with the London Metropolitan Police thanks to their continued development of access systems and procedures, both for the Police and local authorities. Live’s Mark Fisher explained:
