We are currently looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join the busy team in Hungerford and have a direct effect on the day to day running of the depot.
In 2016, the two market-leading Trakway companies in the UK merged together and have since enjoyed further and significant investment in hire equipment. As such, the business needs to enhance the Hungerford Depot function to ensure appropriate allocation and prioritisation of work to aid the smooth running of the depot, as we continue to expand in to new regions and territories to successfully grow the business and deliver a return on investment.
This role is designed to give an enthusiastic and passionate individual, an opportunity to use their existing skill set and develop within the business as it continues to expand, supporting the business’ cradle to grave approach.
Roles and responsibilities
To complete day-to-day activities within the depot ensuring full compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures. Activities will be completed efficiently and to a high standard, ensuring the depot provides a first class service to customers and business alike.
• Completing depot requirements by organising and completing quality maintenance of all products
• Responsible for completing depot duties within strict timeframes
• Developing a safe working environment by adhering to all necessary health and safety requirements and legislation
• Promoting, monitoring and maintaining health, safety and security of the work areas
• Monitoring of plant, equipment and tools (daily checks)
• Compliance with method of work (method statements)
• Ability to identify damage to products and understand damage procedures
• Promoting company image/brand including wearing appropriate P.P.E.
• Identifying areas of the business where improvements can be made
To be successful in this role, it is essential you have sound knowledge of all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
You must have experience of managing changing workload priorities and working to deadlines, and be confident in dealing with customers and their varying requirements.
This role is yard based and will require a significant amount of the day spent outside, in all weather conditions and the successful candidate should be comfortable with this. There may be the need for occasional manual handling also.
